It is scientific evidence that greenhouse gas emissions from merchant ships constitute a considerable percentage of percentage of the worldwide pollution. Nuclear propulsion is a proposal to “clean ship propulsion”. Nevertheless, Nuclear Energy is implicated for environmental encumbrance though it is a cheap and available energy source. The scientific question is whether we have to maintain and further increase the use of nuclear energy or to decrease and even stop it.
