Mining is included among the activities that face a range of climate change-related challenges and problems. This fact could put the viability of the sector at risk. So far, the response of the mining industry seems to be rather disproportionate to the potential impacts, although the importance of the climate change phenomenon for the industry is recognized; indeed mining activities are already suffering the effects of climate changes. The thesis aims to analyze the climate change impacts on the mining industry, and whenever possible, to estimate them in physical and monetary units.
